A fantastic international visit to Six Villages
We were delighted to welcome 25 History teachers from Spain to Six Villages, all of whom teach History in English. They spent the day with us exploring examples of excellence in History education and learning more about life at our school.
Our visitors observed lessons, toured the school, and gained valuable insights into our approach to teaching and learning. They also spent time with Mr Rondell and Mrs Sheldrake, who shared more about our curriculum and the principles that underpin it.
A particular highlight was seeing our students showcase the welcoming and inclusive culture of OSVA. Several Year 8 students kindly gave up part of their break time to speak in Spanish with our visitors, helping to make them feel at home.
The feedback was incredibly positive, with our guests commenting on how engaged and enthusiastic our students are in their learning, as well as the passion and expertise demonstrated by our Humanities team.
A special thank you to the University of Chichester for making this wonderful opportunity possible and helping us build valuable international links in education.
