Academy Closed - Friday 26th June

Following updated guidance from the Met Office, upgrading the local area to a RED weather warning, the decision has been made to close the school on Friday 26 June to safeguard students and staff. This is the highest level of warning and indicates a significant risk to safety. Operating the school safely under these conditions, including allowing sufficient water breaks, would be extremely challenging. Work will be set for students to complete during the day.

Looking ahead, plans are being explored to increase air conditioning provision to support safe school operation during future heatwaves.
