Six Villages Parallel Election

As part of today’s General Election, Six Villages has been running a parallel election, students came out of tutor time today to vote, using ballot papers in a booths, choosing candidates standing in the Arundel and South Downs constituency. Today has provided students with the opportunity to experience an election. This has been an exciting chance to teach students about the fundamentals of democracy, the power of voting, and the basics of how an election works. This is a once-in-a-schooltime opportunity for students and hopefully an exciting one. The results have been counted and the outcome shared with the school community tomorrow.
