Wellbeing Hub
Welcome to our online wellbeing hub. This area contains information about resources and activities tWelcome to our online wellbeing hub. This area contains information about resources and activities that families and students can use to support wellbeing. We have links to local and national sources of advice and support, websites, apps and further reading for all members of the Six Villages family to use.
For older family members, parents and carers, a useful resource is the ‘Mind Plan’ from ‘Every Mind Matters’ Get Your Mind Plan – Every Mind Matters – NHS
For our students, we encourage them to engage in self care to maintain their wellbeing. The NHS resources here can support with this. Self-care tips videos for young people – Every Mind Matters – NHS
Within the academy, we also use a model of peer support to encourage students to maintain their mental health. We now have a team of ‘Wellbeing Ambassadors’ who work across the academy supporting staff with student mental health and wellbeing. The team have been trained in peer mentorship and have used ‘The Diana Award’ in anti-bullying practice.
We also have an allocated space in the academy for wellbeing, this hub is a dedicated space for students to access information and receive support from wellbeing ambassadors. Students can be referred by any member of the academy community and their ambassador will then meet with them and support them during their time at school.
In addition to their wellbeing work, the team also participate organising their appointments and liaising across the academy in areas such as public profile, social action, and fundraising.
Our thanks go to our ambassador team for their commitment to and ambition for improving the academy community.
