Food Technology (GCSE option)

We aim for our students to meet demands of an ever changing technological world by building a repertoire of skills and knowledge that encourages creativity, independence and reflective thinking.

In food technology students will learn to understand and apply the principles of nutrition and health, enabling them to cook a repertoire of predominantly savoury dishes so that they are able to feed themselves and others a healthy and varied diet. Students will become competent in a range of cooking techniques, and learn to understand the source, seasonality and characteristics of a broad range of ingredients.
