At the end of term we celebrated Easter with a themed quiz and an array of delicious Easter treats.
The School Student Voice, which is our academy’s body of student representation, wanted to reward the students for their excellent behaviour and outstanding achievements. As a result, we have brought in termly treats for students, to celebrate their brilliant work and to ensure they feel valued.
This term’s reward was an out-of-class Easter extravaganza. In the run-up to the Easter holidays, each year group had the opportunity to get involved in some friendly competition by taking part in an Easter quiz, during which they were tested on their general knowledge of all things Easter, all while enjoying seasonal treats such as Easter nests and chocolate mini rolls.
Each tutor group was a quiz team, with the winning tutor group being rewarded with Easter eggs as their prize.
The celebrations were a fantastic success and plans are already being made ahead of the King’s Coronation in early May for a tea party to commemorate the bank holiday and continue rewarding the students for their excellent work.
Paul Slaughter, Principal at Ormiston Six Villages Academy, said:
“Our School Student Voice has been a fantastic endeavour to ensure that our students feel listened to and represented, and we are proud to see how successful their recommendations have been including to create opportunity to celebrate our excellent students’ work, which was hugely deserved.”
