“Over the half term the P.E. department took a group of students to Passo Tonale on a ski trip. We spent six days in the Italian mountains taking part in four hours of skiing a day with a ski school instructor.
Those who hadn't skied before found the trip to be an exciting new experience, and those of us who had, enjoyed the trip just as much as we went down more advanced slopes and snow parks.
We visited many beautiful places, including the glacier which was almost 3000 metres high, and took part in evening activities such as bowling, a quiz, and a pizza and movie night. Alongside this, an awards evening was held at the end of the trip, which included prizes given to us for the different skilful and amusing things we did during the week.”

“Personally this has been the best trip I have been on with the school as I have never been skiing and it was nice to have the opportunity to go with my friends and the staff from the PE department. I haven't had the chance to go before and learning something new was amazing.
I now know how to ski and I am confident with going down the slopes. At the start of the week, along with others, I was finding it difficult but I stuck at it and I have improved a lot.
Thanks to the opportunity given to me by the Academy I have now learnt something I thought I would never do.”
