He Named Me Malala, Thursday 17 November 2016

We were delighted to welcome visitors to the Academy this afternoon to watch the screening of the documentary film, He Named Me Malala, in support of our fundraising for The Malala Fund.

We were especially pleased to welcome members of the Westergate branch of the WI to join parents/carers, students and staff for this special screening. Popcorn and spicy snacks were on sale to boost our fundraising and we raised an impressive £54.36!

Here's what our visitors had to say:

"It was so nice to see how Malala has touched the heart of a student here and created all of this." - Joyce
"It was so good to visit the school and be a part of this event. I hope I get the chance to be involved in more events in the future." - Kate

With thanks to everyone who helped with the event.

Our Communities
