School Buses

Buses are co-ordinated through County Transport. This includes issuing of passes which are sent to us and we hand out to students (usually within the first 2 weeks of term). The bus schedule includes commitments beyond the Six Villages Academy. It is therefore important for students to be aware of the times as the buses will not wait for students who are late.

Buses arrive between 8:00 and 8:15am, so that all students can arrive at tutor time or assembly promptly.

Buses leave at the end of the day between 2:40 and 2:45pm, with the exception of the number 66 (public bus) which leaves at approximately 3pm. Students should go straight to their bus stop at the end of the day as buses will not wait once loaded.

The late buses leave at the 3:40pm on Monday to Thursday. This enables students to take part in Enrichment and still have transport home. There is no late bus on a Friday.

If a student misses their bus, they should contact home. If they do not have a mobile phone, they will be able to use a school phone to speak to a family member and arrange alternative transport.

Please direct all travel enquiries to the Transport Coordination Group at West Sussex County Council, who will have the most up-to-date information on bus routes and help with school transport costs.
