He Named Me Malala - film screening

As previously announced, in support of The Malala Fund, we are holding screenings of the documentary film He Named Me Malala, and tickets will be on sale later this week.

We will be showing the film on Thursday 10 November and Thursday 17 November at 6pm in the Gate Theatre. Admission is just £1 and there will be a bucket for other donations at the end of the screening. Refreshments will be available to purchase on the night.

While the film’s official classification is PG, please be aware that we feel there are some scenes which younger students may find distressing, and therefore we would advise it to be most suitable for students in Year 9 and above. IMDb suggest that ‘Parental Guidance is strongly recommended for persons 13 and below.” There are also some helpful reviews by parents & children at www.commonsensemedia.org which may help you when deciding whether your child should attend.

For more information on the screenings, please contact Miss Barkworth.
